Meet Alex, Founder of Black Sheep Brewing
Black Sheep Brewing was born from a love of people, community, and creating experiences that bring energy to everyday life. It’s the intersection of wellness, hard work, hospitality, business, and a little bit of grit.
My journey started at the University of Delaware, where I studied kinesiology with one goal in mind: helping people feel better in their bodies and their lives. While working in the wellness space at SWTHZ in Wilmington, I spent my days focused on recovery, performance, and self-care supporting others as they prioritized their health.
When financial realities forced a change in direction, I took a step back and re-evaluated my path. What I realized was simple: my purpose hadn’t changed. I still wanted to help people feel better, connect, and thrive just in a n new way.
Today, I’m studying Business Administration at SUNY Polytechnic Institute and working full-time in the automotive industry. That mix of structure, service, and speed has shaped how I think about building a brand. I’ve always had an entrepreneurial streak (fittingly, my first word was “truck”), and Black Sheep Brewing became the place where all of those pieces finally came together.
With Black Sheep Brewing, I get to combine wellness-minded ingredients, hospitality-driven service, and a community-first mindset. Through premium coffee, ceremonial-grade matcha, and curated events, we create moments that energize, uplift, and bring people together, one cup at a time.
